Townley and Matheson, as well as designing the new City Hall, designed for more modest uses, including this 1925 garage initially occupied by Vancouver Motors (seen here in 1926), later Dominion Motors, and most recently Staples office supplies.
The company often used similar approaches to their designs – you can see a similar Art Deco sensibility on the Dick Building at Broadway and Granville Street as well.
